The Curation Plan
The curation plan for Nudes on TAP 2024 follows advice provided by photographer, model and exhibition curator Jacinta Tomyn along with personal research and preparation for the exhibition at The Artists Paradise (TAP) Gallery.
The curation plan for Nudes on TAP 2024 provides for the following groups and themes within those groupings;
Colour Natural Landscapes
Flows from water theme, to fireplace ruins and rocks to vegetated landscapes. Incorporating all of the five elements.
Water, fire, metal, wood and air.
Black and White Natural Landscapes
Flows from rocky landscapes, to water theme, to vegetated landscapes, to sand dunes to natural landscapes with structures and flows into nude portraiture theme.
Flows from the powerful impact of the elements to what is also made by people to people themselves exposed in the elements.
Coloured Urban Landscapes
Rather than a continual flow of the same photographer the flow is interspersed with other photographers. Allowing the viewer to not become fully immersed in the same artistic style but to re-engaged with each separate image as they view the flow of images.
Black and White Urban Landscapes
The flow moves from indoor theme to outdoors theme.
From the confined to the expanding.
Black and White Studio and Indoors
The flow moves from partially clothed or covered onto fully nude portraiture theme.
Flowing from what is partially covered then onto fully revealed.
Colour Studio and Indoors
The flow moves from partially clothed or covered, to furniture as a prop, to water effects and then to fireworks like collage.
The colour and visual impact of this flow is designed to take the viewer on a sensory 'ride' effect.
Drone photography
Rather than a sequential flow of the same photographer the flow is interspersed with another photographer. Allowing the viewer to not become fully immersed in the same artistic style but to re-engaged with each image as they view the flow of images.
Bodyscape
Will be exhibited in the gallery annex space area. Allowing what is designed as close up viewing to have greater visual sensory impact when viewed in a 'closer' space area.
The exhibition
More than 40 photographers exhibiting and more than 140 images for exhibition.
